Interstate

Clicking on the photos enlarges them.  Photos are taken as you come down the hill.  They have been taken over several years, so conditions shown will vary depending on what was happening the day the particular photo was taken.  Photos looking back up the hill will be described as such.

 

Overview

  • Rated:  
  • Type of trail:  connector trail, leading from the main Chair One area over to Chair Two.  Also provides access to Sandi's.
  • Head down either Big Ravine or 1000 Turns and continue straight at the junction of those two trails with Interstate.  Please do not block Interstate deciding what to do.  Skiers coming down both Big Ravine and 1000 Turns are coming at a fairly high rate of speed to make it over Interstate to their destination.  This is just common sense, defensive, skiing.  

Overview of Interstate as seen from Good Medicine:

Interstate is the horizontal trail seen through the trees.  Keep your speed as you come down Big Ravine.

Interstate is the narrow trail straight ahead and to the left.  1000 Turns would be coming in from the right below the rope line.

Junction on Interstate with the connector from Chair 8:

Sandi's would be the area down through the trees.  Interstate is shown coming in on the left, continuing off to the right.

Looking back:

Looking ahead.  Actually the trail cuts slightly to the left before the trees you see there.  This is just an extension of it that many people stop on to regroup.:
