Overview:

The Back Side or North Side of the resort has most consistently great snow on the mountain, because of both the direction it faces and the prevailing winds.  Snow is often swept off the front side either into this back bowl area or the North Bowl area (which is, paradoxically, on the SOUTH side of the mountain!).  Although there  is not a page for every treed area on the back side, most of them ARE SKIED.  Six areas do have their own pages:  Caribou Trees, Paul Moffat's Stash, the Tree Farms, Black Bear Trees, Playground, and Super Mario.  (The reason for this is I know the names of these areas and have pictures.)

The Flower Point Area has been addressed separately.

Even though the snow on the back side is so consistently great, the fact that the vertical drop is much lower than the front side means most skiers spend most of their time skiing the front side.  The main lift is a high speed quad, but the first half of the lift is over fairly flat terrain.  The "new" Flower Point lift is, in fact, an old triple recently installed.  Its vertical rise is lower than Chair 7, and it is naturally slower.  However, on days with bad visibility OR when the fog layer is lower on the mountain, this area is a good refuge as most of the trails have visible trees their entire length.
