Friends of Langley

(aka "Fantasy Forest")

Clicking on the photos enlarges them.  Photos are taken as you come down the hill.  They have been taken over several years, so conditions shown will vary depending on what was happening the day the particular photo was taken.  Photos looking back up the hill will be described as such.

 

Overview

  • Rated:  
  • Type of trail:  Treed area that runs down to the base lodge.  Tree density varies depending on your route.  There are cleared sections as shown in the photo below.  I've never seen it groomed, however.  Since this run faces south and is on the lower part of the mountain, conditions can vary considerably.
  • Accessed  from Upper Langley or Langley Trees, as well as a marked entry from Inspiration.
  • The difference between Friends of Langley and Langley is unclear.  However, since Langley existed before Friends, I've included most of the western area to Langley.

The sign on the right indicates the trail entrance, but following Inspiration further down will still allow access as they parallel each other.
